About Auric Room
Auric Room 1915 is inspired by the year Lone Mountain Ranch was founded. The early 20th century marked a period of adventure in the territory that would become Big Sky, Montana. Drawn west by the 1906 Forest Homestead Act and the promise of a new life, early settlers like Clarence Lytle, who homesteaded this land, helped shape the pioneering spirit that continues to define this place.
After a long journey west and a hard day working the land, those early ranchers and homesteaders sought a place to unwind, enjoy a memorable meal, and share stories over a fine whiskey. Today, that tradition continues in Auric Room 1915.
Auric Room 1915 is an intimate culinary destination where exceptional cuisine, rare wines, curated bourbons, and gracious hospitality come together in a setting that is both contemporary and deeply rooted in Montana's heritage. To preserve the atmosphere and allow guests to disconnect from the distractions of the modern world, the Auric Room is a cell phone-free environment. Upon arrival, phones are secured in individual lockers, while members remain reachable at all times through the concierge via a dedicated house phone in the event of an emergency.
Inside, guests discover an intimate dining venue featuring booths, communal banquet tables, a striking bar, an open kitchen, a private dining room, a cigar terrace, and thoughtfully appointed guest amenities. Reclaimed oak floors and hand-hewn timber walls evoke the warmth of Montana's early homesteads, while a dramatic black marble bar suspended on an ebonized base introduces a quiet sense of modernity. The result is a hidden retreat where exceptional hospitality, remarkable food and drink, and meaningful conversation come together in an atmosphere unlike anywhere else in Big Sky.
